McLane Stadium 2020 Media Information

This season’s McLane Stadium media operations will be altered in conjunction with the other Big 12 schools in order to provide a safe environment while covering Baylor Football.

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

  * • All media personnel are required to wear a mask upon entering the stadium and inside the press box. Neck gaiters are not permitted. Media must bring their own masks.
  * • Media members must submit to health screenings prior to entering McLane Stadium.
  * • The McLane Stadium press box will open three hours prior to kickoff.
  * • Capacity in the press box will be reduced to 25% to ensure safe social distancing. We have fewer than 30 seats for media, so all outlets will be subject to reduced credential allotments.
  * • Credentials will be issued on a single-game basis. Media members can request credentials by contacting Taylor Bryan (Taylor_Bryan at baylor.edu) no later than the Tuesday before each home game.
  * • All credentials and parking passes will be mailed in advance. If special arrangements to pick up on gameday are required, please contact Taylor Bryan.
  * • Media credentials will only be valid for press box entry. They will not permit access to any other areas (field level, media interview room, etc.).
  * • There WILL NOT be a media will call available at McLane Stadium this season.
  * • Elevators will be limited to four occupants at a time. Please be patient in using the elevators.
  * • Radio crews who would like to access their booth before the press box opens should contact John Morris at 254-709-9687 or John_Morris at Baylor.edu.

PREGAME at McLANE STADIUM

  * • Media will not be allowed on the field at any time on gamedays, with the exceptions of designated pool photographers, who will have wristbands granting field access.
  * • Pool photographers will be utilized to disseminate content to media outlets. Baylor Athletics Communications will provide media members a Box link to access digital materials.
  * • Designated pool photographers must check in at the media lobby to receive their wristband granting field access. Pool photographers also must remain in their designated quadrants and are required to transmit 8-10 images per half featuring both teams.
  * • The press box media meal will be available two hours prior to kickoff. Meals will be single-serve, grab-and-go boxes. There WILL NOT be a designated dining area, so we request media members eat at their assigned press box seat and maintain safe social distancing at all times.
  * • Popcorn, bottled water and canned soft drinks will be available throughout the game.
  * • Press box printed materials will be limited. Game programs WILL NOT be distributed. Game notes and flipcards will be placed at the designated media member’s assigned seat prior to their arrival. Only final stats will be distributed to media in the press box.
  * • In-game stats WILL NOT be printed. Live stats are available at www.baylorbears.com/stats.
  * • PDF quarterly, halftime and final stat files will be available at http://baylorbea.rs/FBMedia.
  * • All print and local TV media will work from their designated seats in the press box.
  * • Local TV crews will be permitted to record from a pool feed available in the press box.
  * • Radio and television crews will work from their assigned booths.
  * • Pool photographers will work in the photo work room at field level.

POSTGAME

  * • There WILL NOT be a postgame media meal during the 2020 season.
  * • Baylor’s postgame press conferences will be conducted via Zoom (info below). Head coach Dave Aranda and selected players will answer questions following the cooling off period.
  * • Visiting team press conferences will also be conducted via Zoom. Media interested in participating must contact the visiting team’s athletics communications office.
  * • Recordings of both press conferences will be distributed through the Box link.
  * • The McLane Stadium press box will close two hours after the conclusion of Baylor’s postgame press conference.
