Baylor Athletics - Summer Service Projects

Athletics Staff,

In the spirit of serving our local and campus community, we are introducing the opportunity to participate in a Summer Service Project.

We have a June option, a July option, and an August option. For department (non-sport program) staff, the expectation is that you participate in one of the opportunities available. For sport-program staff, you are welcome to participate; however, there is no expectation that you do as we know many of you have community service opportunities as part of your programs.

The opportunities will be as follows:

  *   June 5 - Help Waco Sports Commission set up for their central annual event, the Corporate Cup
  *   July 28 - Service workday with Creekside Community Village, an arm of Mission Waco
  *   August 19 & 20 - Baylor Move-in Day, helping incoming students and their families move into the dorms

All above opportunities will be over the course of the morning (8am hour to Noon-ish). Varying degrees of physical labor may be required. Lunch will be provided for participants following each service opportunity.

We will do our best to accommodate folks. Once everyone fills out the form, we will email the individual volunteers for each opportunity with details and logistics for each service project (exact times, locations, how to dress, etc.).
