Intradepartmental Professional Development Series

In the spirit of providing valuable opportunities to learn and grow together, we are excited to begin an intradepartmental professional development series that will kickoff on May 11 and occur twice a semester moving forward.



A calendar invite will follow, but the details are: 8:30 AM on May 11 Baylor Athletics will host a conversation with Jaime and Colin Faulkner. Both proud Baylor alums, Jaime is the President of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and Colin is the Executive VP for Sales & Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball. The conversation will highlight themes such as being fan first, driving revenue, and exploring translatable lessons from pro sports to our current college environment.



The attendance expectations for May 11th and these sessions moving forward are simple, straightforward, and as follows:

All may. Some should. None must.



In other words, everyone in the department is welcome to attend. Those who are in leadership positions and/or are actively seeking professional development opportunities should attend. But there will be no requirement to attend. We would ask that you please help us prepare appropriately for the audience size by responding with an RSVP to the calendar invite when it goes out.
