Did You Know - Signature Authority | sent on behalf of Mack Rhoades office

Athletics Staff -

Did you know all contracts and purchase agreements must be processed through Total Contract Manager (TCM) and executed by an individual with signature authority granted by the Board of Regents or delegated by the President? As a reminder, Athletics has two employees with signature authorization - Mack Rhoades and Cody Hall. In most cases, Baylor will merge the supplier's terms and conditions onto a university approved contract template prior to execution.

The standard process for contracts and purchase agreements related to goods, services, and software/technology is as follows:


  *   Employee submits the contract to their Business Office contact (Chris, Nancy, Alison, Katie, Erin, or Abbi)
  *   Business Office provides necessary budget approval and uploads the contract into TCM
  *   Contract is reviewed by Procurement, OGC, and ITS (contract type will determine appropriate internal reviews)
  *   Contract is signed by Mack Rhoades or Cody Hall (dependent upon contract type and contract value)

Sport Program Staff -

In May 2024, University leadership delegated signature authorization to Callie Schrank and Cody Hall to negotiate and execute game contracts when the financial impact is less than $10,000. Specific sport program game contracts include:


  *   Acrobatics & Tumbling
  *   Baseball
  *   Equestrian
  *   Men's Golf
  *   Women's Golf
  *   Soccer
  *   Softball
  *   Men's Tennis
  *   Women's Tennis
  *   Track & Field/Cross Country
  *   Volleyball
