Hi,

Thanks Lesley for mentioning the Norwegian talk show with the AFAW stars. I was actually thinking about it the other day, and thought I could post the link to it again for those who haven’t seen it or would like to visit it again. The host, Erik Bye, was a famous TV personality I Norway and his Saturday night’s TV show was watched by “everyone”. I remember he had lots of foreign guests, like Josefine Baker, Danny Kaye and “Festu”s from Gunsmoke (who was extremely popular in Norway).

AFAW was shown on NRK TV between April 1970 and February 1972, I was 10-12 years at the time and I don’t think I missed an episode 😊.

Hello,

Clayhanger is excellent – I remember watching it with my parents, and bought the DVDs a couple of years ago.

Best wishes,

Christine

Greetings, nothing to report on the AFAW front, about due for a rewatch I think. Currently watching 'Clayhanger' made in the same era, a little later, 1976. Set in the Victorian Age, based on the Arnold Bennett novels set in Staffordshire, I'd recommend it. Probably too slow moving for some but wonderfully eccentric characters and good drama.
