[Texasslateusers] How do you solicit application withdrawals?

Hello!

 

We want to automate the process for students to withdraw their applications
from Rice. I believe that some of the universities on this list have already
tackled this project and I'm hoping to get your advice regarding tone in
communicating this option to students: we want to make the service readily
available for students who need it without appearing to encourage the
students to withdraw. 

 

How have you let students know that they can withdraw their applications? In
particular, what did your webpage/portal/letter/etc. say? How did you let
students who need to withdraw their applications know that you want them to
do so expeditiously?
