Subject: [Rel-and-spir-caucus] New Research Virtual Event Invitation

Dear NAVSA Religion and Spiritualities Caucus members,
I hope this message finds you well! The caucus is excited to host an upcoming virtual event, and we warmly invite you to participate.
For this event, we hope to feature several members of the caucus who would be willing to share recent work published or publicly disseminated in the last year related to religion and spiritualities in the nineteenth century. Participants will circulate a short excerpt from their work (a few pages) in advance of the event. During the session, each contributor will offer a brief presentation (approximately five minutes) introducing the work and highlighting its central ideas. We will then open the floor for broader conversation.
Our goal is to create a space for discussing new scholarship, foster connections within the caucus, and think together about current directions in the study of religion and spiritualities.
The event will take place May 2 at 10:00 AM (EST). We hope to receive participation inquiries by Friday, March 27.
If you have an article, book chapter, or other short piece published within the last year that you would be interested in sharing, we would be delighted to hear from you. We would also be happy for members to provide a short excerpt/summary for a longer piece of work, such as a book, or a different type of research output, such as a website or database. Please feel free to email savannah_chorn1 at baylor.edu<mailto:savannah_chorn1 at baylor.edu> with any questions or to express interest in presenting your work.
Thank you, and I hope you will consider sharing your work or joining us for what we expect to be an engaging conversation.
All the best,
Savannah Chorn (on behalf of the caucus steering team: Winter Jade Werner, Josh King, and Mark Knight)
