The true freshman’s defensive efforts landed him second in the Big Ten in steals per game (2.1) with a Kenpom ranking of 54thnationally in steal percentage. On the offensive end, Mingo’s 4.3 assists per game ranked tied for 13th in the conference for the 2025-26

top-40 recruit and the highest-ranked recruit in Penn State's program history. Out of high school, he was ranked No. 34 nationally per 247Sports and No. 39 per ESPN. His senior year, he was named the Gatorade New York Basketball Player of the Year.</span></p>
