</b>Baylor baseball dropped its series opener at Cincinnati, 11-1, in eight innings on Friday night at the UC Baseball Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.</span></p>

Bearcats (23-13, 5-8 Big 12) pulled away with multiple runs in each of the final four frames.</span></p>

the Bears in the opening frame. After Janusek stole second base, Armstrong doubled him in to give BU an early 1-0 advantage. </span></p>

frames that BU couldn’t cash in on. Armstrong doubled for the second time in the top of the third and redshirt freshman designated hitter Hunter Snow beat out an infield single, but again both Bears remained stranded.</span></p>

two-run single gave the Bearcats their first lead of the game. With the lead, Taylor began to settle in and fanned five of the next seven BU batters he faced in the fourth and fifth innings, with his only blemish coming via a Janusek two-out double. </span></p>
