<span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Bears (22-13, 5-5 Big 12) made an early push with a pair of runs in the third inning, only to see Houston (19-21, 2-11 Big 12) score the final three over the last 11 innings
and edge them out.</span></p>

the second-most innings in program history (15.0), and setting a new program record with 250 pitches, surpassing Cristin Vitek's previous record of 185.</span></p>

Carter brought home the first run with an RBI groundout, and Amber Toven followed with an RBI single to give the Bears a 2-0 lead.</span></p>

the distance with 15.0 innings pitched, allowing just three runs on 10 hits while striking out seven. She repeatedly worked out of jams, stranding runners and keeping the Bears within reach.</span></p>
