<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"><b>WACO, Texas –
</b>Baylor baseball completed a weekend sweep of Air Force on Sunday, picking up a 5-4 victory in the resumed game from Saturday and finishing off a 6-1 win in the series finale at Magnolia Field at Baylor Ballpark. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">

<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">BU (9-6) held on to its lead in the first game of the day, despite a three-run top of the ninth from Air Force (3-11). Fifth-year senior right-hander Caleb
Bunch came on to strand the tying run at third base by picking off a runner from first to end the ballgame and earned his first save of the season. Freshman outfielder Brady Janusek hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth that proved to be the game
winner.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">

<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">In game two, senior southpaw Ethan Calder turned in five strong innings on the mound and allowed just one run after scattering six hits. A four-run fifth
inning for the Bears offensively carried them offensively, as fifth-year senior outfielder Ty Johnson, redshirt senior first baseman Tyce Armstrong, redshirt freshman outfielder Hunter Snow and sophomore infielder Cade Dodson each drove in runs in the frame.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">

<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"><b>GAME ONE</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">After picking up play with one out in the bottom of the second inning and Air Force leading 1-0, Baylor was in command for most of the afternoon thanks
to strong outings from its bullpen. Sophomore righty Zack Wallace threw three scoreless and earned the win, allowing just one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">Wallace exited after BU put up all five of its runs, including single tallies in the third and fourth before a three-run fifth frame. In the bottom of the
third, redshirt junior infielder Travis Sanders brought in one on an RBI groundout. Then, the Bears bounced into a double play with the bases loaded to plate another and take a 2-1 lead in the fourth. Baylor broke it open in the fifth on the backs of an RBI
double by Sanders and Janusek’s two-run home run, his third of the year. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">Senior right-hander Grayson Murry bridged the way to junior lefty RJ Ruais with two scoreless innings on the mound. Ruais flirted with trouble in the eighth,
but an outstanding diving play from Sanders and an outfield assist by senior outfielder Caleb Bergman kept the Falcons off the board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">In the ninth, AF got its first two baserunners aboard thanks to back-to-back singles. After a groundout moved both Falcons into scoring position, a BU throwing
error preceded allowed a run to score and called for Bunch to enter with the tying run coming to the plate. After an RBI double and a run-scoring groundout, the tying run stood just 90 feet away. A walk put men on the corners with two down, but Bunch picked
the baserunner off to end the game and collect his first save of the season.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">

<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"><b>GAME TWO</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">Calder was sharp early and fanned three over his first two innings on the bump. Baylor jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second as Janusek
scored on a wild pitch, then redshirt freshman infielder Brytton Clements brought in another with an RBI fielder’s choice.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">An RBI double in the top of the third accounted for Air Force’s lone run of the series finale, as Calder minimized the damage and got through the top of
the fifth without further trouble. That’s when the Bears exploded for a four-run frame, sending 10 men to the plate and cashing in on four hits and two free passes. After freshman outfielder Bo Caraway reached on a fielder’s choice and stole second base, Johnson
singled him in to push the lead to 3-1. Then, Armstrong singled in Johnson and subsequently scored on Snow’s knock to extend the advantage to 5-1. A bases-loaded walk to Dodson put the final tally on the scoreboard, moving the scoreline to 6-1.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; margin: 0in;">

<span style="letter-spacing: 0.25pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;">That’s where things would stay, as the Baylor bullpen used a four-man combination to follow up Calder in the form of junior right-hander Charlie Atkinson,
freshman righty Luke McLeod, freshman right-hander Cole Lanclos and junior right-hander Luke DeVasher. The quartet allowed just three hits and did not walk a batter, closing the door on any hopes of an AF comeback and sealing the deal on the weekend sweep.</span></p>
