<span style="font-weight: 700;">SPRINGFIELD, Mass.</span> - The top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team delivered a dominating victory over Long Island (279.18 - 237.44) and American International (279.18 - 59.425) in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at
the Henry A. Butova Gymnasium. </div>

The Bears (5-0) topped the Sharks (1-3) and the Yellow Jackets (0-3) by 41.74 points for their sixth tri-meet in history, highlighted by two perfect 10’s. Entering the meet, Baylor already held a 21.63-point advantage in start value over LIU and a 219.78-point
advantage in start value over AIU.</div>

To start off the meet in Compulsory, BU and LIU executed the necessary skills, each heat with a start value of 10, and AIU having a start value of 8. In the Acro heat, LIU scored a 9.05, AIU scored a 4.05 and Baylor followed with a 9.65. The Bears won both
the Pyramid and Toss heat with a 9.85 and a perfect 10. LIU scoring a 9.35 and 8.90 in the same heats. In the Tumbling heat, BU scored an 8.60, the Sharks scoring 7.75. Through one event, the score was 38.10 to Long Island's 35.05, and American International’s
8.60, the Bears up by 3.05 points after sweeping in Compulsory.</div>

To start the optional portion of the meet in Acro, Baylor followed a 9.75/10 performance from LIU and 7.00/8.50 from AIU, with a 9.90/10. With Makayla Vasquez as the top and Mo Arthur as the base to earn the score. In the synchronized 6 Element heat, the Sharks
scored a 8.10/9.25 and Yellow Jackets scored a 4.10/8.30, before Baylor, with four different pairs of tops and bases, scored 9.50/10. In the third heat, once LIU competed a 8.70/10 score and AIU competed a 4.55/8.10, Payton Washington and Leavy McDonald scored
a 9.75/10. For the Acro event, BU scored 29.15 to LIU's 26.55 and AIU’s 15.65, now totaling 67.25 BU to 61.60 LIU and 24.25 AIU through two events and Baylor leading by 5.65 points.</div>

To kick off the second half with the Toss event, it was Tannehill topping the 450 Salto heat, finishing with a score of 9.40/9.90 after LIU scored a 8.20/9.30. In the Synchronized heat, the Sharks earned a 7.95/9.40, and for the Bears, Washington and Tannehill
earned a 9.50/10. In the final heat, the Open heat, LIU scored a 8.15/9.40 before Baylor followed with a 9.80/10 from Washington. At the end of the Toss event, Baylor totaled 28.70 while LIU had a 27.70. Through four events, BU had a score of 125.55 while
LIU had a 113.60, the Bears up by 12.05 points. AIU did not participate in the Toss event so their total remained at 36.60.</div>

and AIU had a score of 22.825. After five events, BU led 180.65 to 161.80 to 59.425, up by 18.85 points headed into the last event.</span></div>
