GAME NOTES
• After a 19-year stall of not facing each other, Houston has taken four of the last five meetings between Baylor.
• The Bears are looking for its first win at Houston since 2002 and its first win against UH since the 2021 Final Four in Indianapolis where BU won 78-59 to go to the national championship.
• The duo of Cameron Carr and Tounde Yessoufou have led the Bears through the season with a combined 1,067 points.
• The two are the first pair of 500+ scorers in a season for BU since 2009-10 with
LaceDarius Dunn (704) and EkpeUdoh (500).
• Carr (19.2 ppg) and Yessoufou’s (17.6 ppg) scoring averages are both the highest by a Baylor player since
Pierre Jackson (19.8 in 2012-13).
• Carr’s 556 points are the most by a Baylor player in their first year since
Vinnie Johnson (1977-78) with 575.
• Yessoufou continues to rewrite the freshman program record book, breaking the freshman record of made field goals with 187, passing the record held since 1975-76 by Larry Spicer.
• At UCF, Yessoufou broke the freshman program record with 511 points, passing
Aaron Bruce (2004-05).
• Yessoufou extends Baylor’s success streak of standout freshman in the record books, with
VJ Edgecombe (2024-25), Ja’Kobe Walter (2023-24), and Keyonte George (2022-23) all making their marks in the last four years.
• Isaac Williams IV owns 16 blocks on the season, the most by a Baylor player 6’4 or shorter since
