Turiya Coleman brought home the Bears’ lone run when she doubled to right-center, bringing home pinch-runner Caroline Rowatt.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Baylor answered in the bottom half of the inning, when Karynton Dawson was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Amber Toven was issued a walk to put two on for Ashlyn Wachtendorf
who brought home Baylor’s first two runs of the game with a single up the middle.

shots from Govan, Coleman and Dawson to go up 8-3. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

a run of the bears and make it a 8-7 ballgame, but BU recorded the third out of the inning to secure the win.

we had a runner at third base. So, there were some positives there. But our pitching staff is in recovery. You can’t score enough runs against an offense like that with the state of our pitching right now. That’s going to be our focus is to get that healthy,

like were in control of it – but that milestone was huge. There’s a risk, and it almost cost us a game there, but the fact that we were able to pull it out, I think psychologically, she grew a lot because she finished the game.</span>”<b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
