put up a battle against the top-five ranked Wake Forest team, falling 4-0 on Friday afternoon.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Baylor (2-1, 0-0) fell early by dropping the doubles point to Wake Forest (3-0, 0-0). The No. 3 doubles team of Marko Miladinovic and Oskar Brostrom Poulsen were unable to
overcome two highly competitive players of DK Suresh and Stefan Dostanic of WF, 6-3 on Court One. On Court Two, No. 17 doubles pair of Devin Badenhorst and Zsombor Velcz took on the No. 4 duo of Luca Pow and Luciano Tacchi but couldn’t overcome, 6-4.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Moving on to singles, the first set looked as if Wake Forest had all the momentum with five Demon Deacons taking the first set, the lone Bear of Miladinovic winning his first
set 7-5 on Court Six. However, the Bears did not give up easily in the second set.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Alexandru Chirita fell to Wake’s Pow in the first set 3-6. However, in the second set, Chirita swung the momentum his way and took the second set 6-4 and force a third set.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Brostrom Poulsen, the No. 58 singles player, took on No. 7 Suresh on Court Two. Brostrom Poulsen dropped the first set 2-6 but battled back to force a second set tie-breaker
score at 6-6. The senior captain took the second set at 7-6(6) to give Baylor more momentum.

couldn’t overcome No. 115 Ioannis Xilas 7-6(6), 6-3. Louis Bowden fell to Tacchi 6-2, 6-3.

been on this team in the past or have been in college tennis for a long time and understand carrying the momentum from doubles to singles, and our guys allowed them to have it. Credit to most of them, they were able to battle back and give themselves a chance
at either the end of the first set or moving into the second set. We turned a couple of matches there. That’s going to be the name of the game when you play the best teams in the country. You’re never just going to win three straight set matches, or if you
lose doubles point, four straight matches. We have to be able to turn more than we did. We got a few there and I think that was a positive on a few courts.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
