Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., from June 21-30. They will look to earn their spot on Team USA’s track and field squad for the 2024 Olympics and join head coach Michael Ford, who was named the men’s sprints and hurdles coach for Team USA.

ready to punch their ticket to Paris for the 2024 Olympics which will take place from July 26 to August 11.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">To qualify and head off to the Olympics, for the majority, the top three finishers in each event will represent the U.S. in Paris. For guaranteed entry to the Olympic Trials,
athletes need to have met a qualifying standard in their event. These Olympic Trials standards, which were set by USA Track and Field (USATF), are separate from, and easier than, the automatic Olympic qualifying standards. Set by World Athletics, track and
field’s international governing body, the Olympic qualifying standards generally require a world-class performance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">If the top three finishers in the event don’t have the Olympic standard, then USATF goes down the order of Trials finishers until it reaches three athletes with the Olympic

Bears to make Team USA, competing at the 2020 Tokyo Games. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Laurenz Colbert and De’montray Callis will both competing in the men’s 200m event. Colbert currently has a best time of 20.35 with Callis right behind at 20.49. Colbert currently
ranks 21st among the USA field and Callis at 40th. Round One of the men’s 200m will take place on Thursday, June 27, at approximately 9:33 p.m. CT.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">On the women’s side of the 200m event, Tiriah Kelley will look to advance with her current best time of 22.86. The 2024 All-Big 12 Indoor (200m) honoree left the 2024 NCAA
Championships as an All-American in the 4x100m relay where her group clocked the second fastest 4x100m relay time in program history at 42.98.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Maggie Montoya, a Baylor standout alumnus from 2014-17, will compete in the women’s 5,000m and 10,000m events. Montoya enters the trials with best times of 15:15.52 for the
5,000m and 31:54.34 for the 10,000m. Montoya is an all-conference runner in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Alongside Montoya in the 10k is Annamaria Kostarellis. Kostarellis, a Baylor letterwinner for the 2022-23 season, has a best time of 32:10.96 in the event. Kostarellis transferred
to Baylor her final year of eligibility and earned spots on the 2023 Indoor All-Big 12 Team in the 3,000m and 5,000m events.

the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship. She currently ranks the No. 9 athlete in the event for USA.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">In the pole vault event, Alencia Lentz and Molly Haywood will enter with best marks of 14-9 (Lentz) and 14-7 ˝ (Haywood). Lentz was named the 2024 Big 12 Indoor Champion after
she swept the competition in the event. Haywood recently qualified for the U20 World Championships when she took home the silver medal at the USATF U20 Championships.

the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Lightfoot was the 2021 NCAA Indoor National Champion in pole vault during his time at Baylor. At the Tokyo Olympics, Lightfoot placed in 4th.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
