DI West Preliminary Rounds, held May 22-25, at the University of Arkansas’ John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Leading the pack in the women’s selections is Alexis Brown in three events: the long jump, 100 meters and 4x100-meter relay. Makayla Long joins Brown in doubling up for two
individual events: the shot put and discus throw. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

in the javelin throw. Prosper Nnamdi’s actual season- and personal-best throw of 271-8 at the African Games does not count in collegiate rankings but would also land him a first seed in the region.
