</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The 23rd-ranked Baylor volleyball team beat WVU on Saturday afternoon in the Ferrell Center, 3-0.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">BU (15-12, 9-8) swept WVU (9-20, 2-14) in three sets at the Ferrell. Baylor dominated the first set with a score of 25-11 and were able to keep their momentum the rest of
the afternoon, winning the second set 25-17, and took the third set 25-15. The Bears snapped a three-game losing streak and extended their winning streak over WVU to 17 matches, the last three being clean sweeps for Baylor. Baylor held WVU to a .097 hitting
percentage, the second lowest all season. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The Bears were led by Elise McGhee with 13 kills, followed by Kendal Murphy's season-high 9 kill effort. Averi Carlson added 31 assists to her season total and Lauren Briseño
secured 8 digs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Set 1<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The match started with the Bears opening up with a kill from McGhee immediately followed by two kills from Allie Sczech to take an early 3-0 lead over WVU. McGhee continued
to stay hot and connected on a pass from Carlson to make it 5-1 Bears. An attacking error from the Mountaineers and a kill from Manuela Bibinbe forced WVU to call a timeout with Baylor leading 7-1. After the timeout WVU was able to score 3 points before an
errant pass that led to a point for a Baylor, 9-4 Bears. Baylor would continue to keep the lead with McGhee, Sczech and Alicia Andrew all getting kills for the Bears. West Virginia was forced to call a timeout with Baylor leading 14-6. West Virginia would
get two more points before Sczech added another kill to her total to make it 16-8, Bears. McGhee added another kill before securing a service ace to make it 18-9, Baylor. Following the ace, Carlson dumped the ball over the net to make it 19-10, Baylor. After
attacking errors from WVU, Murphy and Andrew were both able to get kills to bring the score to 23-11. Sophia Keene secured her first kill of the season to bring it to set point for the Bears and an attacking error from WVU would seal the set for Baylor with
a score of 25-11, the lowest point total in a set Baylor has held their opponent to all season.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The second set opened up with an ace from Carlson but WVU was able to quickly get two kills to take an early 2-1 lead over the Bears. The lead would not last long as Kendal
Murphy and McGhee were both able to get kills to regain the lead at 3-2. A kill from Sczech would get a run started for the Bears as Bibinbe would get a solo block and Lauren Briseño collected an ace to bring the score to 6-3, Bears. WVU would be able to secure
one kill before multiple attacking errors and a kill from McGhee would force them to call a timeout at 9-4, Bears still on top. Coming out of the timeout WVU would secure a point before a massive kill from Bibinbe would extend the lead to 10-5 for Baylor.
A combination of service and attacking errors from both sides would bring the score to 10-7 before a kill from Murphy extended the lead to 11-7 for Baylor. A service error, attacking error and a kill from WVU brought the score to 11-10, Baylor still leading.
Murphy would add another kill before more attacking errors from WVU brought the score to 14-11, Bears. WVU would continue to fight, getting a kill and points from errors to bring the score to 15-13, Baylor. Bibinbe would get another kill followed by McGhee
coming away with one of her own to bring the score to 18-14, Bears. McGhee would add another kill to her total before more errors from WVU brought the score to 21-16 Bears. An error and another kill from the hot handed McGhee forced West Virginia to call their
second timeout of the set with Baylor leading 23-17. An ace from Alexis Dacosta brought the Bears to set point before an attacking error from WVU allowed Baylor to take the second set with a score of 25-17.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The third set began with a Sczech kill from a Carlson assist followed by a solo block from McGhee to take an early 2-0 lead for the Bears. WVU would secure a kill before
Sczech got another kill, this time a tip, to bring the lead to 4-1. McGhee would add another kill before more errors from both sides would bring the score to 5-3, Bears still leading. More errors from WVU and another kill from Murphy allowed the Bears to extend
the lead to 8-3. Errors from Baylor and a kill from WVU brought the score to 8-6, Bears, but a kill from Victory Davis followed by Murphy allowed Baylor to extend their lead to 11-6 forcing WVU to call a timeout. Coming out of the timeout Davis added another
kill and a net violation from WVU caused Baylor to take two quick points to bring it to 13-6, Baylor. Baylor would lose two points but Davis continued to stay hot with another kill to bring the score to 14-8, Baylor. Attacking and service errors from both
sides brought the score to 15-9 before two straight McGhee kills extended the lead to 17-10 for Baylor. McGhee continued red hot with another kill, this time to bring the score to 19-11. WVU would manage to get to two-straight kills before Ava Grace Haggard
got a kill followed by a one-handed block from Murphy to bring the score to 22-13, Bears. A WVU kill was followed by Murphy securing her 8th kill of the match, which is the most by her this season, that brought the score to 23-14, Baylor. Murphy followed with
one more kill to bring the set to match point 24-15, and Carlson secured the win by an ace. The Bears won the third set, 25-15.
