on Sunday evening after the Bears took to the track across four countries and two continents. Gary Moore Jr. and Imaobong Uko highlighted the week for BU with national titles in their events.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Moore Jr. opened his doubleheader on Saturday with a title in the U20 shot put event. Over a month after closing his freshman season at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds,
Moore Jr. threw a 65-0 ¾ chunk to take the title on his second attempt. Following in the nightcap, he placed 11<sup>th</sup> in the discus throw.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">On Friday, Moore Jr. opened his time in the meet on the podium in the hammer throw, taking third at 66.56 meters. His shot put title secures an automatic qualification to
the Pan Am U20 Track and Field Championships in Puerto Rico and he awaits the possibility to compete in the hammer throw.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">After a 22.71-second race in the first round of the women’s 200 meters, Mariah Ayers tabbed an automatic qualifying lane in the semifinal round, where she finished 10<sup>th</sup>
after 22.61 seconds, just missing the finals cutoff by two spots. In the men’s event, Kamden Jackson did not finish.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Matthew Moorer closed his Baylor career in the 400-meter preliminaries on Thursday night, crossing the line in 17<sup>th</sup> place, exactly a half second away from a timed
qualifying spot. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Now one season into her professional career, Aaliyah Miller finished in the women’s 800 meters in 29<sup>th</sup> place, with a 2:05.95. Trayvon Bromell advanced through
two rounds to the men’s 100-meter final where he finished sixth. His best race of the meet was 10.02 seconds in the semifinal.

his spot in the semis and finished 16<sup>th</sup> at 47.04 seconds. Behind a legal wind, Francis moved to the 200 and found 16<sup>th</sup> place in the prelims after 21.48 seconds.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Clocking in around the 52-flat mark, Uko earned the automatic qualifier to the 400-meter final where she won her first Nigerian senior title in the quarter mile. After closing
her sophomore season with two All-American trophies in the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays, Uko booked her title with a 52.07 but missed the Worlds qualification standard of 51 seconds.
