Championships on Friday with Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi winning the javelin title, and Hannah Link and Gary Moore Jr. taking All-Big 12 honors in their respective hammer throw events.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">All it took was one throw for Prosper Nnamdi to take the lead in the men’s javelin throw. His 244-1 didn’t touch the BU all-time mark list, but it still beat the rest of
the field by just under 27 feet. He is the first javelin thrower in program history to win back-to-back titles in the event.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Link threw a season-best 184-9 chunk in the hammer throw to win the Bears their first point with an eighth-place finish. Victoria Adu followed with a season-best mark of
her own, 178-2 for 12<sup>th</sup>, while Makayla Long was 13<sup>th</sup> at 155-11.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">In the men’s event, Moore Jr. hit his second-best mark of the season at 193-10 for seventh place to secure two points for the BU men. Cole Hardan had a spot in the finals
until the last throw of the preliminary rounds, where he was pushed to 10<sup>th</sup> place. The senior threw a season-best 186-2.

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">In the early-morning 10,000 meters, Ryan Hodge just missed an All-Big 12 finish after he crossed ninth overall at 31:12.43. In the women’s event, Sophia Leidner ran a 37:06.33
for 13<sup>th</sup> place. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">After one day of decathlon competition, Luke Anthony sits 11<sup>th</sup>-overall with 3,421 points. The senior ran an 11.43-second 100-meter dash, jumped 6.51 meters in
the long jump, threw 11.15 meters in the shot put, jumped 1.78 meters in the high jump and ran a PB 50.55-second 400-meter dash.
