</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Baylor’s Alicia Herrero and Mel Krywoj begin their NCAA Doubles Championships run on Tuesday at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Ill. This marks the first time since 2016 and the ninth time under head coach
Joey Scrivano that Baylor has had a doubles tandem selected for the tournament.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">By receiving a national seed, Herrero and Krywoj are All-Americans. They are the 10<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> Bears to earn the honor in program history. In the
Scrivano era, the duo is the third to receive the automatic honor and first since 2013. Overall, eight duos have been dubbed All-Americans since 2003.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

No. 27, is 12-7 on the season with a 4-1 record against ranked foes and is 4-1 in its last five matches.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Big 12’s automatic qualifiers have had a season for the record books in 2021-22. The duo began the year winning the ITA Regionals in October before finishing as national
semifinalists a month later at the ITA Fall Nationals.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Behind a strong start to dual-play action, the duo rose to a No. 1 national ranking, the first one in program history. The first-team All-Big 12 doubles team finished
dual action with a 16-5 record, including a 5-3 mark in conference play. On the season, Herrero and Krywoj racked up a 6-4 record against ranked foes.
