WACO, Texas </span></b><span style="background:white">– No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling extended its winning streak to 12 with a 24.38-point win over No. 7 Hawaii Pacific on Saturday night in the Ferrell Center, 279.775 – 255.395.<br>
<br>
The Bears improved to 7-0 on the season with the win over the Sharks, including a 3-0 record in the Ferrell Center. BU overtook HPU in every event, only dropping two heats.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white"> <br>
To begin the meet in the compulsory event, Baylor scored over a 9.8 in all heats but one, finishing a solid 3.5 points ahead of HPU, 38.85 to 35.35.<br>
<br>
In the acro event, the Bears had an 8.85 in the five-element, 9.75 in the six-element and a 9.80 in the six-element to make a total event score of 28.40. The running total for BU was 67.250 while the Sharks scored a 27.35 in the event to have a running total
of 62.70 through two events.<br>
<br>
For pyramid, BU scored a 9.95 and 9.85 followed by a perfect 10 in the open heat to finish a high note for the event. In the 10-point scoring heat were Emily Tobin, Riley Chimwala, Raffaela Scotto, Bayley Humphrey and Tori Harris. Baylor finished the event
with 29.8 points out of a possible 30. Hawaii Pacific scored a 9.85, 9.65 and 9.75 to equal 29.25 for the event. At the half, the Bears led HPU 97.050 to 91.950.<br>
<br>
Coming out of halftime, Baylor had scores of 9.45, 9.50 and 9.95 in the toss to equal 28.90 for the event. HPU scored a 26.60, bringing their running total to 118.550 in comparison to BU’s 125.95. Freshman Talia de la Cruz competed as the top in the first two
out of the three tosses for the second time this season, with Emily Tobin as the top in heats two and three.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

In tumbling, Baylor continued to put its prowess on display, scoring above a 9.3 in all but one heat. The open pass was the highlight of the event for the fourth meet in a row, with the Bears’ Bri Harris competing and scoring a 9.975 out of 10. BU finished
with a score of 57.175 for the event while the Sharks scored a 52.325. Going into the final event of the night, Baylor led by 12.250 points, 183.125 – 170.875.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

The Bears had a score of 96.650 in the team event to end the meet, bringing the total to 279.775. Hawaii Pacific had a score of 84.520 to update their point total to 255.395 for the meet.<b><br>
