to the 2022 National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) All-Academic teams and Academic Honor Roll, as announced Friday by the organization.<br>
<br>
Nine Bears were named to the NCEA All-Academic First Team, while four earned a spot on the second team and one more collected honorable mention distinction. Additionally, 19 Bears were placed on the NCEA Academic Honor Roll.<br>
<br>
Baylor’s 13 combined first- and second-team honorees are the most among NCEA schools.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;letter-spacing:.25pt">First-team members needed to have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of their school’s meets and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 while maintaining
full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.<br>
<br>
Second-team members must have competed in a minimum of 60 percent of their school’s meets and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.<br>
<br>
Honorable mention selections were those who competed in at least 50 percent of their school’s meets and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.<br>
<br>
The top academic student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters were eligible for the honor roll.<br>
<br>
BU finished the 2021-22 season at 7-7 overall with a third-place finish in the Big 12 Championship. The Bears earned the No. 6 seed for the NCEA National Championship and will face No. 3 Texas A&M when nationals open on Thursday, April 14, at the World Equestrian
Center in Ocala, Fla.<br>
