HAMDEN, Conn. </span></b><span style="background:white">– No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling kept their streak alive with the 284.460-280.685 win over No. 4 Quinnipiac on Saturday at the People’s United Arena in Connecticut.<br>
<br>
The Bears improved to 5-0 on the season with the 3.775-point decision over the Bobcats.<br>
<br>
BU overtook QU in every event but pyramid, with the Bobcats ahead at 29.60-29.45.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

Starting off the meet in the compulsory event, Baylor scored over a 9.5 in all heats but one, finishing a tight .30 points ahead of its opponent.<br>
<br>
In the acro event, the Bears had three 9.85 scores for the heats for an event score of 29.55, bringing the running total to 68.15. Quinnipiac scored a 28.20 in the event, including a 9.9/10 in the five-element heat, to have a running total of 66.50 through
two events.<br>
<br>
For pyramid, BU had two 9.80 scores to start and finished with a 9.85 in the open heat. Baylor finished the event at 29.45, with the Lions at 29.60. At the half, Baylor led 97.60 – 96.10, up by 1.5 points. It was the second meet in a row where the Bears had
a 97.60 score at the break.<br>

BU had three 9.70 scores in the toss event to have a total of 29.10 points, compared to Quinnipiac’s 28.25 from a 9.3 in the 450 Salto, 9.70 in the synchronized and 9.25 in the open. The running total improved to 126.70 for Baylor and 124.35 for the Bobcats.<br>

In tumbling, the Bears showed out in their six heats, only scoring below a 9.0 in one heat at 8.9. The open pass was once again the highlight of the event, with BU's Bri Harris competing and scoring a 9.825 out of 10. Baylor finished at 56.60 for the event
while QU scored a 58.55. Going into the final event of the night, the Bears led by a slim 2.875 points, 183.300 – 180.425.<br>

BU had a score of 101.160 out of 108.460 possible points in the team event to end the meet, bringing the total to 284.460. The Bobcats had a 100.26 score out of a 105.92 start value to update their point total to 280.685 for the meet.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
