Jared McKenzie has been named to D1Baseball’s Preseason All-America Second Team, as announced Monday by the publication.<br>
<br>
McKenzie is one of 54 honorees, which includes 10 hitters and eight pitchers on each of the three teams.<br>
<br>
The third-year sophomore from Round Rock, Texas, hit .383 last season with 10 home runs and 44 RBI. He led the Bears with 82 hits, 62 runs, four triples and a 1.079 OPS in 2021 and is currently Baylor’s all-time leader in career batting average (.389).<br>
<br>
With this honor, McKenzie continues to add to his already impressive offseason, having been previously named a Preseason All-American by
<i>Collegiate Baseball Newspaper </i>(second team) and Perfect Game/Rawlings (third team), as well as a unanimous Preseason All-Big 12 selection.<br>

D1Baseball’s editors and national writers select the preseason All-America teams with one guiding principle in mind: to identify the best and most valuable college baseball players for the 2022 season. Eight Big 12 players were named to one of the three preseason
