and women's teams, the conference office announced Thursday.<br>

The Bears had seven women's first-team selections, including seniors Celia Holmes and Mazie Larsen achieving a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Aaliyah Miller, Kasey Sutryk, Sophia Leidner, Celie Jackson and Lily Jacobs joined Holmes and Larsen on the first
team.<br>

The men's team had three first-team selections in Ryan Day, Alec Atteberry, and Ryan Hodge, while Philip Roxas took home second-team honors to give the Bears a total of four men's honorees.<br>

The 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Cross Country Team honored 150 student-athletes, with 72 selections on the men's team and 78 on the women's team. A total of 31 honorees garnered a 4.00 grade point average.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second-team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher (either cumulative or the two previous semesters) and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled
contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
