<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">Paula Barañano defeated Texas Tech’s Olivia Peet in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. However, Barañano dropped her second contest, 7-6(4), 1-6, 0-1 (6-10) to 14<sup>th</sup> seed Malaika Rapolu of Texas.

charge in the second to win her match, 7-6(3), 6-2, over UTSA’s Aleksandra Zlatarova.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
