• Baylor closes out the regular season with a three-game series against No. 14 Texas. The Lady Bears head to Austin for a 6 p.m. matchup on Friday before hosting the Longhorns on Saturday (3 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).<br>
• Texas leads the overall series, 33-21. Baylor's last win in Austin came on April 17, 2018 (3-0). The Lady Bears' last series win over the Longhorns also came in 2018 when Baylor got the three-game sweep.<br>
• BU is currently a half game behind Texas for fourth in the Big 12 standings. If the Lady Bears take two games this weekend, they'd finish the regular season third in the league heading into the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship.<br>
• Prior to Saturday's game, BU will present a plaque to Mark Lumley's family to honor the legacy he left in his 20 years at Baylor. After 20 seasons as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears, Lumley retired in October before he passed away in December after
his fourth bout with cancer. The Baylor players and coaching staff have all been wearing blue ribbons in his honor. This season is for Lum.<br>
• Sunday's game will be Senior Day for the Lady Bears with eight student-athletes and three student staff members graduating this weekend. The group will be honored postgame after BU's regular season finale.<br>
• <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/coaches.aspx?rc=1633"><span style="color:#154734">Glenn Moore</span></a></span></dfn> picked up win No. 800 at Baylor last Friday in BU's 7-1 victory over Kansas. Moore
is the wins leader across all sports for Baylor Athletics. Last season, he reached the 900-win milestone for his career.<br>
• <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10397"><span style="color:#154734">Aliyah Binford</span></a></span></dfn> tied a Getterman Stadium record with six RBI on April 30. She hit back-to-back
three-run home runs. It marked the first multi-home run game by a Lady Bear since <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10395"><span style="color:#154734">Hannah Thompson</span></a></span></dfn> on
March 10, 2020. Binford is the 55th BU player to go yard multiple times in a game.<br>
• <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10383"><span style="color:#154734">Lou Gilbert</span></a></span></dfn> and <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10385"><span style="color:#154734">Emily
Hott</span></a></span></dfn> are making a splash in Big 12 play as the two are among the top 10 in the conference in multiple categories in league action.<br>
• Gilbert moved into the leadoff spot with <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10380"><span style="color:#154734">Nicky Dawson's</span></a></span></dfn> injury. Gilbert has both the short
game and power as she has 44 hits to lead the team. Of those 47 hits, 19 of them are for extra bases (12 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs) and 12 of them are bunt singles.<br>
• Hott has reached base safely in 29 straight games. That streak ties for fifth in program history.<br>
• Binford (3/16) and <dfn><span style="font-family:"Open Sans",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10391"><span style="color:#154734">Gia Rodoni</span></a></span></dfn> (3/30) have each been named the Big 12 Pitcher of the week this
season, marking the first time since 2016 and the fourth season in program history (2004, 2014, 2016, 2021) that multiple Baylor pitchers have earned the weekly conference honors.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
