• Baylor hosts the Lone Star State Invitational this weekend. This is the first year of the tournament as Baylor, Texas and Texas State are all host sites with opponents rotating among the three. The Lady Bears will first play host to UConn and Ole Miss before
adding Lamar to the mix on Saturday. BU will end the weekend against No. 25 Mississippi State, marking the second-straight weekend with a ranked opponent.<br>
• BU is coming off a 6-1 win over UTA in their home opener on Wednesday. The Lady Bears got to show off their new "tricked out" lights as <dfn><b><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10385"><span style="color:#154734">Emily

• BU, a team known for its small-ball game with exceptional speed, is making a turn towards power this season. Half of Baylor's hits this season have gone for extra bases (7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs). Against UTA on Wednesday, the Lady Bears had five
hits before recording a single. <br>
• <dfn><b><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10389"><span style="color:#154734">Goose McGlaun</span></a></span></b></dfn><b> </b>was named one of 30 candidates for the 2021 Senior CLASS Award. McGlaun
is the fourth selection to the preliminary list by a Lady Bear, joining Carlee Wallace, Heather Stearns and Kaitlyn Thumann.<br>
• After 20 seasons as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears, <b>Mark Lumley </b>retired in October before he passed away in December after his fourth bout with cancer. The Baylor players and coaching staff will all be wearing blue ribbons in his honor. This
