• Baylor gets things started at Getterman Stadium as the Lady Bears welcome in UT Arlington for their 2021 home opener. The two teams were originally slated to play on Feb. 17, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather.<br>
• The Lady Bears are 52-29-1 all-time vs. UT Arlington. BU is 0-3 the last two years vs. the Mavericks.<br>

Moore</span></a></span></dfn> that a Lady Bear hit a home run.<br>
• <dfn><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10391"><span style="color:#154734">Gia Rodoni</span></a></span></dfn> picked up career save No. 6 as she entered in the bottom of the ninth inning against
the Cowgirls and retired three batters in a row. She's now tied alongside Kelsee Selman (2016-17) and Liz Paul (2011-14) for eighth in program history.<br>
• UTA is led by KJ Murphy at the plate, who hit .500 on the weekend with a double. Courtney Ogle, Kimber Cortemelia and Waco native Sophie Wideman each have a pair of RBI.<br>
• Baylor stayed steady in the USA Today/NFCA poll at No. 23 but dropped a few spots to No. 21 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.<br>
• <dfn><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><a href="https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10389"><span style="color:#154734">Goose McGlaun</span></a></span></dfn> was named one of 30 candidates for the 2021 Senior CLASS Award. McGlaun is the fourth
selection to the preliminary list by a Lady Bear, joining Carlee Wallace, Heather Stearns and Kaitlyn Thumann.<br>
• After 20 seasons as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears, Mark Lumley retired in October before he passed away in December after his fourth bout with cancer. The Baylor players and coaching staff will all be wearing blue ribbons in his honor. This season
