Mitch Karraker and Orange Coach College head baseball coach John Altobelli, who was tragically killed along with his wife Keri and youngest daughter Alyssa in the helicopter crash that also killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter and four others yesterday morning

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Baylor assistant coach Mitch Karraker, in his first season with the Bears, has even closer ties to the Altobelli family. In the summer of 2016, Karraker coached alongside coach Altobelli on the U.S. Collegiate
National Team that saw Team USA win its first-ever series in the country of Cuba. He also played and coached at the University of Oregon with Altobelli’s only son, J.J. Altobelli (2010-13 letterwinner at Oregon). Karraker played with Altobelli during the 2010
and 2011 seasons and was also on staff at Oregon as Altobelli finished up his career in 2012 and 2013.
