</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has released the list of semifinalists for the 2019 Dick Howser Trophy, presented by The Game Headware, and junior third baseman
Davis Wendzel was one of 26 semifinalists. The award, given to the top player in collegiate baseball, is based on two rounds of national voting. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Wendzel currently leads the Big 12 with a batting average of .385, good for 32<sup>nd</sup> nationally. His on-base percentage of .500
is also tops in the conference and 19<sup>th</sup>-best in the country. His slugging percentage of .647 is also good for third in the conference. He has 60 total hits, with 17 doubles and eight homers, second-most on the team. His 17 doubles are also second-most
on the team and ranks fourth in the Big 12. The San Clemente, Calif., native also has stolen a team and career-high 11 bases on the season.

in 2012. The only Bear to ever win the Dick Howser Trophy was Jason Jennings, who won the honor in 1999.

at TD Ameritrade Stadium in downtown Omaha, the home of the College World Series for the eighth year. The winner will be unveiled on MLB Network on Friday, June 14, and then, a press conference with the winner will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. (CDT),
