</span></b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The No. 1-ranked Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team remained perfect in 2019 after defeating host Hawaii Pacific, 284.190 to 277.355 at Moanalua Gym on Tuesday evening.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Bears (5-0) never trailed to the Sharks, taking the lead in event one, 38.75 to 38.55 and never looked back. The Bears earned a perfect 10 in the toss heat of compulsory,
the first of two perfect 10s on the day. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">In the acro portion, the Bears were edged out by HPU, who scored a 29.65 to BU’s 29.60. However, the Bears still held the lead, 68.35 to 68.2.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">In event three, the Bears extended their lead before halftime, aided by their second perfect 10 of the night, a 10 in heat three. Heading into the break, the Bears led, 97.95
to 97.85. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Bears extended their lead in the toss portion, scoring 9.80, 9.75 and 9.95 to finish with a combined score of 29.50 to HPU’s 28.40.

Sharks scored 53.875. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
