AUSTIN, Texas – On the heels of hosting its first home meet of the season, Baylor track and field will head south to compete in the 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays that begin with the women’s heptathlon and men’s decathlon on Wednesday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Freshman Kingston Williams, who came up just shy of Henry Vildosola’s all-time school record in the indoor heptathlon, will try to chase Tommy Richards’ 35-year-old record in the decathlon. On the women’s side, Kiara Wesseh and sisters Logan and Madelyn Todorovich will compete in the heptathlon.

To make it to the NCAA Championship, multi-event athletes have to be ranked in the top 24 in the nation.

On Wednesday, the decathlon events will be the 100 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 meters, while the heptathletes will do the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200 meters.

Thursday, the multi-events will resume at 10 a.m., followed by the field events at 11 a.m. and running sessions starting at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

After the first two weeks of the outdoor season, the Baylor women are ranked 12th nationally, with potential points in the pole vault (Molly Haywood, Tenly Kuhn and Alencia Lentz), Janae De Gannes in the long jump and Tiriah Kelley and freshman Success Oyibu in the 200 meters.

A bronze medalist in the indoor 200 meters, Kelley is entered in the elite 200-meter Invitational, as well as the 4x200 relay with Oyibu, Royaltee Brown and freshman Alyssa Jones.

The Bears’ other indoor bronze medalist, 60-meter hurdler Demario Prince hasn’t run outdoors yet and isn’t scheduled to compete this weekend. Baylor’s highest-ranked performers in the outdoor rankings are Abbas Ali in the 200 meters, along with the 4x100 and 4x400 relays that won event titles at the Clyde Hart Classic.

On Friday and Saturday, the SEC Network+ is streaming live coverage of the meet. Live scoring for all four days is available at texaslonghorns.com.
