TUCSON, Arizona – Baylor softball suffered a series sweep at the hands of No. 13 Arizona after 6-3 setback on Sunday at Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.

With Baylor leading 3-2 at the halfway point, the Wildcats rallied for the final four runs to secure the sweep, dropping Baylor to 21-12 and 5-4 in Big 12 Play.

RUNDOWN

After two scoreless innings to open the game, Baylor broke through in the third with a two-out rally when Amber Toven delivered a two-RBI single to right, giving the Bears a 2-0 advantage. Faith Piper kept the inning alive with a walk, and Leah Cran added an RBI double to extend the lead to 3-0.

Arizona answered immediately in the bottom half, stringing together hits to plate two runs and cut the deficit to one.

The Wildcats took control in the fourth inning behind a three-run home run from Sydney Stewart, flipping the score to 5-3. Arizona added an insurance run in the fifth on an RBI single from Regan Shockey to push the lead to 6-3.
