No. 8 Baylor MT Returns Home to Host No. 12 UCF & Creighton in Doubleheader

WACO, Texas – The No. 8 Baylor men's tennis team is set to face off against No. 12 UCF and Creighton on Sunday, March 29, at the Hurd Tennis Center. The matches are scheduled for noon and 6 p.m. CT, respectively.



The noon match against UCF will feature the "Hounds at the Hurd" event, where fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to enjoy the tennis action.



Baylor, currently standing at 14-7 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12 Conference, returns home after five consecutive matches on the road. This match will serve as its home-opener for Big 12 conference play.



Baylor's Connor Van Schalkwyk is on a impressive 10-singles match winning streak, and teammate Devin Badenhorst recently earned the title of Big 12 Player of the Week. The Bears are coming off impressive victories over No. 25 Arizona State and No. 39 Oklahoma State, the latter of which ended OSU’s 11-match home winning streak.



UCF, ranked No. 12, boasts a 17-3 record and is currently on its Texas road swing where it fell to No. 5 TCU on Friday night, 4-1, for its first conference loss. The Knights arrived in Texas on an eight-match winning streak prior to TCU.



Creighton, with an 11-8 record and 2-1 in the Big East, will round out the day of competition at 6 p.m. CT.
