STORYLINES
LEADING OFF
• Baylor Baseball hits the road to take on Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., for its second series of the Big 12 slate.
• The Bears just wrapped an eight-game homestand in which they went 5-3, including a series sweep over Air Force, a midweek victory over Sam Houston and its second ranked win of the year, beating No. 22 West Virginia on a Friday night.
• BU opened the year on a 10-game winning streak at home, its longest home winning streak to start a season since 2021.
• The home winning streak extended to 11 games when counting the 2025 home finale, making it Baylor's longest home winning streak since 2012, when the Bears won 22 in a row in Waco.
• Baylor has played nine games against ranked opponents so far in 2026, its most at this point in a season since 2014 (9).
• The Bears have stolen 29 bases through 20 games this year, their most at this point in a season since 2015 (30).
• Baylor has turned 21 double plays in 20 games, which leads the Big 12 and ranks 11th nationally.
• The Bears lead the Big 12 with eight triples and rank 13th in the country in three-baggers.
• BU pitchers have allowed 3.71 walks per nine innings, ranking inside the nation's top-50.
CATCHING UP WITH THE COWBOYS
• Baylor is 45-60 all-time against Oklahoma State, including a 1-6 mark against the Pokes in the Thompson Era.
• Last year, BU salvaged its weekend set against OSU in Waco with a thrilling 5-4 walk-off victory in 10 innings.
• The Bears and Cowboys met again in the first round of the 2025 Big 12 Tournament, with OSU winning a tight 4-3 contest.
• The Bears have not won a game in Stillwater since 2021, having been swept in their last visit (2023), and have not won a road series against OSU since sweeping the Cowboys in 2017.
• Since 1999, BU has won five of 13 series played in Stillwater, with two series splits.

• BU dropped a 13-3 contest with K-State on Tuesday night, where the Wildcats slugged past the Bears with seven of their nine hits going for extra bases, including four home runs.
• Junior INF Robert De La Garza collected his first-career three-hit performance, while freshman OF Brady Janusek added two hits and two RBIs for his eighth multi-hit and third multi-RBI efforts of the year.
WHO'S HOT
• Redshirt junior INF Travis Sanders carries a 24-game on-base streak into the weekend series at Oklahoma State, dating back to the 2025 season. Sanders leads the Bears in hitting (30 hits, .405 AVG).
• Redshirt senior 1B Tyce Armstrong has hit seven home runs and driven in 27 runs, both team highs.
• Last week against WVU, senior LHP Ethan Calder turned in BU's first quality start of the season, tossing a team-high 6.1 innings and allowing just three runs on five hits and one walk, while fanning three.
FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
• Through 20 games, 47% of Baylor's total plate appearances have been taken by players with less than 55 career PA's entering the 2026 season. True or redshirt freshmen account for 35% of the team's total plate appearances.
• That group also accounts for 48% of the team's hits, including 35% from true or redshirt freshmen.
• 54% of Baylor's hits have come from players who have previously redshirted in their careers.
• 44% of Baylor's IP this season have been thrown by players who have thrown less than five career innings at the Div. I level.
• Baylor has nine true freshmen on its 2026 roster and an additional four redshirt freshmen.
• Through 20 games, 18 Bears have made their Baylor debuts (9 hitters, 9 pitchers), including 10 true or redshirt freshmen.

SIZZLING SANDERS
• Redshirt junior INF and Preseason All-Big 12 shortstop Travis Sanders is off to a blistering start at the plate, batting .405 (30-for-74) through his first 19 games.
• Sanders became the fastest Bear to collect 20 hits in a season since Davis Wendzel in 2019, as the duo both recorded their 20th knocks in their 43rd at-bats of the year.
• Prior to Wendzel, only Nathan Orf (39 at-bats) was quicker to 20 hits in a season in 2013.
• Sanders is batting a ridiculous .652 on balls in play this season.
• He currently ranks seventh in the Big 12 with 30 hits, just four shy of the league lead, and sixth in the conference in AVG.
FACING THE BEST OF THE BEST
• Through 20 games, Baylor own's the nations No. 16 Strength of Schedule (WarrenNolan.com)
• BU has faced seven ranked opponents for a total of nine games, and five of the top-26 RPI teams at this point in the year (No. 1 Southern Miss, No. 4 Texas, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 24 Purdue and No. 26 Oregon State).
• Baylor currently sits at No. 55 in the RPI entering this weekend's series against Oklahoma State (No. 45 in RPI).
• Baylor will play a combined 22 games against 11 NCAA Tournament teams in 2026, including three conference champions from a year ago.
• 14 30-game winners headline the 2026 campaign, including six teams that won 40 or more games last season.
