WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian western sophomore Isabelle Hildebrandt was named the Educated Rider Standout Student-Athlete of the Month by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA), as announced Thursday by the organization.



Hildebrandt has maintained a 4.0 GPA every semester, being named to the Dean’s List as well. The Pearland, Texas native, is a mechanical engineering major and a minor in math. She currently works in a combustion research laboratory, developing near-zero emission energy systems.



The sophomore made her first career-start against South Carolina in late January and has competed in every meet since. Hildebrandt has posted a 0-1-2 record in the spring and earned her career high of 72 against the Gamecocks.



This is Hildebrandt’s first-career NCEA honor.



Baylor travels to California to wrap up the regular season against UT Martin and No. 8 Fresno State on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Friday’s meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. CT, while Saturday’s contest will start at 12 p.m. CT.
