IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday afternoon the All-Big 12 awards for the 2025-26 women’s basketball season. Baylor placed Taliah Scott on the All-Big 12 First Team, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs on the Second Team and All-Defensive Team, and Bella Fontleroy on the All-Defensive Team and as an honorable mention selection while also recognizing Jana Van Gytenbeek as an honorable mention pick.

Scott, a First Team selection, was named to the conference’s weekly Starting Five seven times, with a pair of appearances as the Player of the Week. The first-year Bear averaged 20.2 points per game this season and 18.7 points in league play. Scott was especially strong from the free-throw line, sinking at least 10 free throws five times while shooting 80% or better, including two perfect 11-for-11 performances.

The Florida native became just the 22nd Division I player since 2000 to reach 1,000 career points in 48 games or fewer. She is also one of only two DI players this season to average at least 20 points while shooting 90% or better from the free-throw line, putting her on pace to become the first player in Big 12 history to reach those marks over a full season. She ranks fourth in Baylor history for single-season 3-pointers, sixth for single-season free throws and sixth for points in a sophomore season.

Littlepage-Buggs earned her fourth All-Big 12 honor in as many seasons, collecting Second Team and All-Defensive Team recognition. The Oklahoma City native is the only player in the conference to average a double-double for a second straight year, currently posting 10.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Her 12 double-doubles include season highs of 26 points against Le Moyne and 20 rebounds at Iowa State. She has also recorded three games shooting 90% or better from the field on at least seven attempts, including two in conference play.

Littlepage-Buggs ranks fourth in career rebounds at Baylor and eighth in Big 12 history. She recorded her 1,000th career point against Colorado, becoming just the ninth Bear to reach the milestone.

Fontleroy earned All-Defensive Team and honorable mention honors for a second straight season. The fourth-year Bear helped anchor Baylor’s defense throughout its 24-7 campaign. Offensively, she posted four 20-point games, including a season-high 26 points in the home opener against Lindenwood. Her second career double-double came against Houston, where she scored 17 points, connecting on three from beyond the arc, while grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Missouri native reached 1,000 career points early this season against Le Moyne and has climbed to No. 4 on Baylor’s all-time career 3-pointers list.

Van Gytenbeek earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention recognition in her return season, orchestrating the Bears’ offense in all 31 games so far. She recorded the first two double-doubles of her career this season, including a triple-double with 10 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds against Alabama State. She became just the fourth Bear all-time to record a triple-double and only the eighth instance in program history. She has reached double-figure assists four times and scored in double figures 11 times.

The Colorado native ranks seventh in program history for single-season assists. This marks her first postseason honor from the conference.

The Big 12 head coaches selected TCU’s Olivia Miles as Player and Newcomer of the Year, Kansas’ Jaliya Davis as Freshman of the Year, West Virginia’s Jordan Harrison as Defensive Player of the Year, Texas Tech’s Snudda Collins as Sixth Player of the Year, Iowa State’s Arianna Jackson as Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Texas Tech’s Krista Gerlich as Coach of the Year.

Baylor finished the regular season and will enter the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament as the No. 3 seed this week in Kansas City. After earning a double bye, the Bears will open play Friday at 8 p.m. against the winner of the No. 11 Kansas/No. 14 UCF vs. No. 6 Colorado matchup on ESPN+ and the Baylor Sports Media Network. With a win, Baylor would advance to Saturday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal on ESPN+. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. on ESPN.
