QUOTABLE
Glenn Moore on his team’s response: “First of all, you’ve got to give McNeese credit. They’re a really good ball club, and when you look at their schedule and who they’ve played, you know you can’t make the kinds of mistakes we made yesterday and expect to beat a team like that. Today, we addressed those things and didn’t make those mistakes. I think we’re a potentially good team, we’re still working on consistency, but the situational hitting was really good, and Peyton Tanner gave us an outstanding performance in the circle. She needed some redemption from yesterday, and she took that personally. She was locked in the entire game and did an outstanding job. I think our team had something to prove. You’re at Getterman, in front of your fans, and you want to perform better than we did yesterday. I’m really pleased with how they responded.”
Leah Cran on the Team’s bounce-back performance: “One of our big sayings is ‘pass the bat,’ and that’s exactly what we did. We just kept passing it and kept the rhythm going. We’re really looking at this as good momentum moving forward, especially heading into Tuesday against SFA. Having a day in between helps, but coming off two losses, it was important to end on a good note. With conference play coming up after SFA, I think this is a really good place for us to build from.”
