IRVING, Texas – On the heels of breaking the program and meet records with a world-leading time of 22.56 in the 200 meters at the Corky Classic, Baylor senior sprinter Tiriah Kelley was named the Big 12 Co-Female Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

This same time last year, Kelley claimed Athlete of the Week honors after breaking the school record with a 22.73 clocking at the Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas.

The school record-holder for the indoor and outdoor 200, Kelley won a timed final by almost a full second and posted a time that ranks No. 1 in the Big 12, NCAA and World Athletics.

In the midst of five-consecutive weeks of competition, Baylor track and field will head south down Highway 6 for Texas A&M’s Ted Nelson Invitational that starts Friday at the Fasken Indoor Track in College Station.
