IRVING, Texas – A total of 41 Baylor student-athletes earned a place on the 2026 Winter Academic All-Big 12 Teams, announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.



The Winter Academic All-Big 12 Teams recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at conference institutions that participate in winter sports.



Of the 41 green and gold honorees, equestrian led the way with 28 recipients, while women’s basketball accounted for seven spots and men’s basketball collected six.



To qualify for the Winter Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen are not eligible, while transfers in their first year of academic residence are eligible. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
