WACO, Texas – No. 9 Baylor men’s tennis is staying at the Hurd Tennis Center to play against Utah on Thursday, April 2nd at 6 p.m. CT.



The Bears (16-7) sit 3-1 in Big 12 play after their undefeated double header against No. 12 UCF and Creighton. Against UCF, the Bears have Devin Badenhorst to thank for winning the fourth point and clinching the match against the Knights. Against Creighton, the Bears stayed undefeated in doubles and singles winning all seven matches against the Bluejays. Baylor is currently on a four-match win streak, with an at-home record of 11-1.



The Utes (5-13) have a 1-4 record in Big 12 play. They are facing the Bears following a ranked 4-2 win at No. 66 Texas Tech, which marks their first ranked win of the season.



Baylor’s roster boasts multiple high ranked players in singles, with Badenhorst now sitting in the top-10 at No. 8. Also on the list are No. 34 Connor Van Schalkwyk, No. 39 Zsombor Velcz, and No. 122 Alexandru Chirita.
