WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian Fences sophomore Lauren Reid and Flat senior Madison Mitchell were named to the All-Big 12 team, as announced at the Big 12 Championship Saturday evening.



Reid picked up honors in Fences after posting a 6-3-2 record in the regular season. The sophomore out of Nazareth, Pa., struggled at the start of the season before returning to the starting lineup Nov. 2 against Fresno State. She picked up her first win of the season with an 84-ride, starting a six-meet point streak in which she recorded 80+ scores.



The communications major gathered two Big 12 monthly accolades and an NCEA monthly honor.



Reid collected four wins against ranked opponents, including No. 1 TCU (87), No. 10 UT Martin (80), No. 5 Georgia (88) and No. 7 Oklahoma State (87). She garnered two Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) nods over the season for her 83-ride at Delaware State and her 88-ride against No. 5 Georgia. Reid finished the 2023-2024 campaign with an average of 74.18.



This is Reid’s first-career All-Big 12 honor.



Mitchell garnered accolades in Flat after a 7-5 2023-2024 campaign. The senior out of Clarkston, Mich., recorded three 90+ scores, including a 92-ride at No. 4 Texas A&M, a 95-ride against No. 5 Georgia and a 94-ride against No. 1 TCU. Her 95-ride marks the second highest Flat score during the Maxwell era.



The corporate communications major collected a Big 12 monthly honor and an NCEA monthly accolade.



Mitchell posted five wins against ranked opponents, including No. 2 Auburn (89), No. 5 Oklahoma State (85), No. 5 Georgia (95), No. 9 UC Davis (70) and No. 1 TCU (94). She earned two MOP honors this season with her 95-ride against No. 5 Georgia and her 87-ride at Fresno State. Mitchell finished the regular season with a 76.25 (83.18 non-zero) average.



This marks Mitchell’s second-consecutive season as an All-Big 12 Flat honoree.
