ABOUT THE BEARS

Baylor (9-5, 2-0 Big 12) is coming off a 4-2 win over No. 30 Arizona State. The Bears have won three-straight matches dating back to last weekend’s conference-opening wins at Cincinnati and West Virginia. Newcomer Miska Kadleckova holds a team-leading 8-1 record overall in singles, including a 7-1 mark at the No. 1 position. Isabella Harvison clinched the match against the Sun Devils for the Bears, moving to 7-3 on the year. Kadleckova and Danielle Tuhten lead the way as doubles partners with a 7-3 record with all seven wins coming on court two.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS

UCF (3-7, 0-2 Big 12) enters Friday’s match on a two-match losing skid after falling to BYU and Texas Tech to open conference play. The Knights have faced off against three top-20 opponents this spring. Sophia Biolay and Noel Saidenova lead the way for UCF in singles, each holding a 6-2 record with a majority of Biolay’s wins coming at the No. 2 position. In doubles action, the tandem of Saidenova and Anique Kattenberg have a 5-3 record.

ABOUT THE COUGARS

Houston (1-7, 0-2 Big 12) is searched for its first road win of the season in just its second outing away from home when it travels to face TCU and Baylor this weekend. The Cougars lone victory was a 4-3 decision over Louisiana to open the spring slate on Jan. 28. Houston has seen a trio of Cougars earn three singles wins this year, including Lauren Slisane at the No. 1 position. Sonya Kovalenko and Sophie Schouten boast a team-best 4-3 mark at No. 1 doubles while Gabriela Cortes and Blanca Cortijo Parreno are 3-1 at No. 3 doubles.
