IRVING, Texas – Baylor women’s basketball had four individuals recognized with postseason honors on Tuesday, highlighted by Sarah Andrews’ selection to the All-Big 12 Second Team.

Alongside Andrews, Aijha Blackwell, Dre’Una Edwards and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs each earned an all-conference honorable mention.

For the third time in her career, Andrews is earning an all-conference nod with a selection to the All-Big 12 Second Team. The senior guard is averaging 9.8 points per game in league play while averaging a team-high 30 minutes per game. Andrews was one of 10 finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List, and she eclipsed 1,000 career points earlier this season. The Irving, Texas, native turned in her second-career double-double in a win over UCF, and she has reached double-figure scoring in nine conference contests this year.

Blackwell is earning her first career Big 12 postseason honor after missing a majority of last season due to injury. She has made 22 starts in 27 appearances, starting all but four conference games. With her fourth rebound at Houston, she reached 1,000 rebounds in her career, and she has turned in a team-best 11 double-figure rebounding performances this season. The Berkeley, Missouri, native has finished in double figures on the glass in nine conference contests, including an 18-rebound and 19-rebound performance in both wins over Oklahoma State, while recording a season-high 20 points for her fifth double-double of the year on Sunday against the Cowgirls.

Edwards, who was named to the Katrina McClain Award Preseason Watch List for the second-straight year and was named a top-10 finalist for the award, is collecting her first postseason accolade from the league after missing all of last season with the Bears. The forward has finished in double figures in a team-leading 22 of 29 contests this season, including 12 times in Big 12 action. She’s averaging a team-best 12.1 points per game in league play to go with 6.1 rebounds per contest. On Sunday, she recorded her third double-double of the year, closing out the regular season with a 16-point, 10-rebound performance in a win over the Cowgirls.

Littlepage-Buggs, the unanimous 2023 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, is earning an honorable mention for the first time in her career. She has started 17 of 18 league games this season, and she averaged 10.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in those contests. For the year, she has finished in double figures 15 times and has reached double digits on the glass in eight contests. Littlepage-Buggs recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the first time this season against BYU and West Virginia, and she’s finished in double-figure scoring in three of the last five games headed into this week’s tournament.

The Bears open the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Friday at 11 a.m., when they face the winner of Texas Tech/Houston at the T-Mobile Center.
