Story lines

• No. 15/14 Baylor welcomes Texas to Waco for an 8 pm CT tip as a part of ESPN's Big Monday, for the final regular-season meeting between the two teams as conference foes.

• The Bears are fifth in the nation in 3-point FG% (39.7), rank fifth in nation in offensive efficiency (123.5) and second in the Big 12 in points per game (81.6).

• Saturday is the 263rd series meeting – the most-played rivalry in Baylor history dating back 108 years.

• BU enters this match-up with a 21-23 record against Texas under Scott Drew.

• The Bears have won six-straight and seven of the last eight against the Horns in Waco.

• Baylor is 13-3 in its last 16 games vs. Texas since Feb. 20, 2016 (6-0 in Waco, 6-3 in Austin, 1-0 in KC).

• BU is 23-10 vs. Texas since snapping a 24-game series losing streak at the 2009 Big 12 Championship.

• In the last meeting, Texas' Tyrese Hunter hit a shot at the buzzer to beat the Bears 75-73, handing BU consecutive losses in Austin for the first time since 2014 and 15.

• In that meeting, Texas started the game 9-for-11 from three in the first half, before BU held UT to 0-for-8 from deep in the second half.

• Last time out, Baylor gave Kansas it's seventh conference loss with an 82-74 win over the Jayhawks.

• With the win, BU secured a season split with KU for the fifth-straight season, and improved to 13-5 in its last 18 games against AP Top-10 teams.

• BU also secured double-digit Big 12 wins for the sixth-straight season, and the 11th time in the Drew Era, after winning double-digit conference games just eight times prior to that.

• Monday will be senior night for Baylor who will celebrate the careers of Rayj Dennis, Jalen Bridges, Caleb Lohner, Austin Sacks and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua.

• In just one season with the Bears, Dennis has etched his name in the Baylor history books with the fifth-most single-season assists in program history (195).

• Dennis' 6.7 assists per game would rank as the fifth-best single-season average in program history.

• Bridges has started every game for BU since stepping on campus prior to the 2022-23 season, and entered this season as Baylor's lone returning starter from the 2022-23 team.

• Lohner joins Bridges as one of two players on the roster who have appeared in every game over the last two seasons.

• A BYU transfer, Lohner will leave with his name in the BU record books for the highest shooting percentage in an NCAA Tournament game, when he went 5-for-5 against USCB in the opening round of the 2022-23 NCAA Tournament.

• In his third year with the program, Sacks, a former walk-on, notched his career-first points this season, and was awarded a scholarship on ESPN's Jay Bilas on College Gameday.

• Tchamwa Tchatchoua was named the 2021-22 Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year, despite only playing in 12 games before suffering a devastating knee injury against Texas on Feb. 12, 2022.

• Tchamwa Tchatchoua made a triumphant return to the court less than a year (357 days) later vs. Tech (2/4/23).
