LOS CABOS, Mexico – Baylor men’s golf returns to action at the Cabo Collegiate beginning Sunday at Twin Dolphin Golf Club.

One of the strongest fields it will see all season, BU will pit itself against 10 ranked teams, including six of the top 10 in the latest Scoreboard rankings.<https://scoreboard.clippd.com/rankings/leaderboard?rankingType=Team&gender=Men&division=NCAA+Division+I>

Head coach Mike McGraw looks forward to taking his team to Cabo every year because he knows his players will get a top-notch test in a top-notch setting.

“It's going to be great,” he said. "The weather is great, and it's got some incredible views, which are all good things, but my favorite thing is that this is one of the best tournament fields we will see until the national championship. There's a ton of really great teams. If you play well, you'll do a lot of good for yourself in the rankings. If you stumble, you know you're going to get beat by a lot of teams. So, the field is great, the golf course is wonderful and the hospitality is off the charts.”

Johnny Keefer will take his usual place at the No. 1 position for the 30th-straight team event. The senior is having another stellar season, ranked No. 41 in the latest Scoreboard Individual rankings. The San Antonio native leads the team, making par or better on 86.9% of his holes played this season.

Davis Ovard continues to ascend in his freshman season with the Bears, playing at the No. 2 spot. The Frisco, Texas, native is coming off his first start in the lineup, a tie for 53rd at the Prestige. He is carrying the third-best par-4 scoring average on the team at 4.02.

Luke Dossey will make the trip, playing out of the No. 3 spot at Twin Dolphin Golf Club. The senior enters this week leading the team in par-3 scoring average (2.84) and is making his second appearance at the Cabo Collegiate after a tie for 58th last year.

Tyler Isenhart will make his second-straight appearance in the lineup at the No. 4 spot. The senior has finished at par or better in six of his nine rounds this season, including an even-par 71 in his last appearance at the Prestige.

Luke Morgan will play at No. 5, making his first appearance in the lineup since the fall of 2022. Playing some of the best golf of his career at Baylor, the senior notched a career-best tie for fourth on the strength of 17 birdies in his last start at the Prestige Individual in La Quinta, Calif.

The event begins with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday morning. BU will be grouped with No. 8 Arizona, No. 11 Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.
