EUGENE, Ore. – Baylor track and field closed its 2024 collegiate season on Friday afternoon at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. The women’s 4x100-meter relay was the only entry for the Bears in the final day of competition, adding three points to the team’s total of 10.5.



THE RUNDOWN

Out of lane No. 9, Tiriah Kelley, Kayla Hunt, Alexis Brown and Michaela Francois clocked the second-fastest 4x100-meter relay time in program history and just the second sub-43 time. The 42.98 earned them sixth place, sandwiched between Big 12 foes Texas Tech and Texas.



The 2024 4x100-meter relay crew becomes the eighth All-American crew in school history and is one of just four to repeat on the NCAA podium in back-to-back years.



WHAT’S NEXT

While the 2024 collegiate season is over, national championships ramp up to name athletes to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The USATF Team Trials are scheduled for June 21-30 back at Hayward Field, while the Nigerian trials begin on June 16-18 in Benin City’s Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and the Jamaican trials will be June 27-30 at the National Stadium in Kingston.
