WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis added Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli for the upcoming 2024-25 roster, head coach Michal Woodson announced on Thursday.



“We are really excited to welcome Imran to our tennis family for the upcoming season,” said Woodson. “From the beginning of the recruiting process, it was clear that his vision for himself in the short and long terms aligned exactly with ours. He is fully committed to being the best he can be, on and off the court, day in and day out, and that is exactly what we want here at Baylor when we are in search of potential student-athletes. We are fortunate to get the opportunity to work with Imran over the coming years as the future is bright for him.”



Abdul Hazli comes to Waco from Malaysia with an ITF junior career-high ranking of 91.



The incoming freshman has five singles and seven doubles titles underneath his belt as he joins the Bears squad. Abdul Hazli holds a junior career record of 58-17 in singles and an impressive 28-5 in doubles.



Abdul Hazli will join the Bears in Waco for the 2024 fall season.
